In most things in life when we begin something new our enthusiasm is high while our skills are often undeveloped or essentially non-existent. When a person tries something new and shows early skill it’s often called beginners luck or the individual is a natural or a prodigy.
Emerson said, “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm”
The following paragraph contains humor that may not be appropriate for all audiences you won’t miss much if you skip it 🙂
Week 2 finds me still with enthusiasm – my husband says great enthusiasm. As I enthusiastically read and repeat the Blueprint Builder, my DMP, Do It Now and all the rest multiple times a day (some more than the 2 or 3 times assigned to remain in harmony with the Mastermind) I’ve started to playfully tell my husband that I’ve been multi-enthusiastic that day. On the days I’ve struggled I say that I need another Ogasm and more Enthusiasms. (I did warn you)
In Scroll 1 “…for when an act becomes easy through constant repetition it becomes a pleasure to perform and if it is a pleasure to perform it is man’s nature to perform it often.” Much like the High School Cheer – I’m Alive, Awake, Alert, Enthusiastic! You can become Enthusiastic too! You’ll thank yourself for it when your Subby gets to work faster on what you are creating. To see the effects of enthusiasm in action check out Nancy O’s, my Guide Mentor’s post about where she has come from. Amazing, isn’t she? Want to see the power of enthusiasm in action? See Ellen’s simple, but oh, so powerful What if?
In the Master Keys this week two things stood out to me:
2-19. The conscious mind ought to be on duty during every waking hour. When the “watchman” is “off guard”, or when its calm judgment is suspended, under a variety of circumstance, then the subconscious mind is unguarded and left open to suggestion from all sources.
I recognize that many of the struggles and old blueprint beliefs are based on the lack of watchman or suspension of calm or immature judgment. Comforting to know that I can change and form stronger beliefs on which to base my future and practice the conscious guard and watch of my Subby. The Second stand out is this weeks sit –
2-30. Last week I gave you an exercise for the purpose of securing control of the physical body. If you have accomplished this you are ready to advance. This time you will begin to control your thought. Always take the same room, the same chair, and the same position, if possible. In some cases it is not convenient to take the same room. In this case simply make the best use of such conditions as may be available. Now be perfectly still as before, but inhibit all thought. This will give you control over all thoughts of care, worry, and fear, and will enable you to entertain only the kind of thoughts you desire. Continue this exercise until you gain complete mastery.
2-31. You will not be able to do this for more than a few moments at a time, but the exercises is valuable because it will be a very practical demonstration of the great number of thoughts which are constantly trying to gain access to your mental world.
As I listen to Mark then read the Mastermind posts my understanding was to seek to have moments or instances of NO thought. A sort of suspension of reality – to be-still my beating heart – hold my breath – cease to think. Hmmm, okay as the week has progressed I’ve found the most success in a rather counter intuitive manner. I fix a single thought in my mind and then seek as it reads inhibit all thought, all incoming thoughts. So likely not what many have been doing but it has provided a greater traction to stilling my mind. A thought of ‘I am Safe’ or ‘Gratitude’ or ‘Love’ have been effective. I have found that as I have a more still mind my body rebels more – maybe that is just me.
Lastly, I have a confession – I am struggling with my DMP – I thought I had it rather nailed down – I did Think and Grow Rich with Mark and Company twice and MKMMA last year and thought I was in a good place – um I cannot even answer the questions my guide has asked in less than 400 words let alone construct a DMP that contains emotion and detail. Wow, I’m thinking of answering the questions and conversing and giving background to my guide and then approaching the DMP again – at least I have until after Sunday’s Webby before I need to send the DMP in again.
I’m wondering if the fact that I see my DMP in a complete vision and my guide is not looking with my eyes or seeing the vista but has received a 400 word piece of what I feed my Subby that doesn’t have my HEM and Enthusiasm and running video that plays in my minds eye. Well back to the Blueprint Drawing board – the sit – where I’m not supposed to be thinking any thoughts – I think I’ve been set up… For Greater Understanding – Think a Franklin Thought an Aretha Franklin Thought … oh just Think 🙂
Thank you Aretha, you are missed :*)
Hi Natalie.
I love reading these blogs a year or two later when I can see how far a person has come. It’s like looking at one another’s baby pictures.
You may have just found another hashtag for the MKE, right there next to #theresnothinglikeit.
Wait for it……….
#orgasmic
Peace and abundance, fellow Guide!

Ha, ha Cheryl – I used Og-asmic or #Ogasmic but, who am I to deny anyone an #orgasmic opportunity 🙂 – Does this become a PG-13 or a Rated R reply?
Love this post! You are doing great!!
Thank you Sara 🙂
An Ogasm… haha.. So awesome that your husband is along for the journey this year as well. I almost signed up year before last but I didn't think I would make it far without her being in it as well. Glad we did it together. Great insights, I love those passages also. A suggestion I came across for medatation said to have your "monkey brain" focus on breathing since it has a need to be occupied by something we can give it that task if necessary. I believe this suggestion was from Eckhart Tolle. Glad to see you are still breaking off your cement.
Is it horrible that it makes me belly laugh – I feel like a child – if we participate effectively in this course we are all multi-Ogasmic – could be a huge internet campaign – way more classy than Carl's Jr or Guess Jeans.
I do not believe I could be as effective without Jay and I working togeher – I'm so glad that you and April are his guides – let me know how I can help him. Thanks for reading – you are a great man my friend 🙂
LOL, I was warned indeed!!! You had me in stitches and I hope I don't forever envison you in a cheer outfit, but I may.
I think I did a better job on my DMP this time around than I had the previous year. I found it really helpful to listen to the DMP portion of the Webby a second time when I did my revisions. I believe it to be close but I suspect I will be listening to the webby again to iron things out as I grow and everything becomes more clear. You got this, I believe in you
I’m glad you were in stitches – picture me in a cheer outfit all you’d like – confession time – I tried out for cheer with my best friend to give her support – it was her dream; I made the team – it was the rival high school; the district said no to a transfer and I did not try out for my own high school, but I’d be honored to be forever young and athletic in your mind pony-tail and pom-poms too. 🙂
I am listening to the webby again too! My guide is amazing, she is asking just the right questions to get me to see what I’ve written through an objective lens. I’m loving the clarity. I do have this, thank you for your belief in me – you got this too! I believe in you – we are changing this world for the better – join Dre and I everyone we’ll get “there” faster with friends. <3 <3 <3
Your story about enthusiastically reading made me smile – it's fun to be enthusiastic, and feels so good after the reading as well. I also struggled with the 'no thoughts', and do much as you do – I use a short mantra over and over – works for a while, but I can always hear my mind trying to interrupt. Practice practice practice!
Nicki – please share your mantra – I love learning from others – observing the intruptions has been huge for me too. I found as I do this consistently the interruptions are fewer and the space between clearer. It is great to journey with you and thank you for your comments.
Natalie – I empathize with the challenges with your DMP. I still find it a stretch to get what I truly want crytalized – work in progress. I guess we will both be working thru MKE with a totally new awareness this year so the behaviour (and results) may be interesting to observe. Enjoy the ride!
Absolutely Dennis – we are perfect but not yet complete. Enjoying the ride looking forward to our progress.
Thanks for the reminder about ENTHUSIASM – one thing I've always thought doesn't come easily to me. But in fact, I do have enthusiasm, but the quiet kind, not the loud screaming-yelling kind. (can you guess my color? 🙂 )
Oh Thomas, your gift to the world is Peace – shine beautiful white 🙂 My husband is a white. Thank you so much for bringing your light to this amazing journey 🙂
